Ingredients list for Chhenar Payesh

  • 1 cup Chenna
  • 1 litre Milk
  • 15 Almonds blanched and peeled
  • 20 Pistachios blanched and peeled
  • 2-3 tablespoons Sugar
  • a pinch Citric acid

Method

  1. Heat milk in a deep non-stick pan. Add chenna and mix well. Let it boil for 4-5 minutes on low heat. Add sugar and mix well.
  2. Keep aside a few pistachios for decoration and add the rest with almonds to the pan and mix well. Add citric acid and mix well.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and set aside to cool. Keep it in a refrigerator to chill. Serve chilled.
