Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Coleslaw Sandwich Recipe

  • Chicken boiled and shredded 3/4 kilogram

  • White bread slices 8

  • Medium cabbage shredded 1/4

  • Medium carrot peeled and cut into thin strips 1/2

  • Medium green capsicum cut into thin strips 1/2

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Sugar 1 pinch

  • Salt to taste

  • Mayonnaise 3 tablespoons

  • Butter to apply

  • Potato chips to serve

  • Tomato ketchup to serve

  • Fruit juice to serve


Step 1

Take chicken in a mixing bowl, add cabbage, carrot, green capsicum, crushed black peppercorns, sugar, salt and mayonnaise and mix well.

Step 2

Take white bread slices on a worktop and cut into roundels with a cookie cutter. Apply butter on a roundel and spread some chicken mixture on it. Cover with another roundel to make a sandwich. Similarly make more sandwiches with the remaining mixture and bread roundels.

Step 3

Keep the sandwiches on serving platter and serve immediately with potato chips, tomato ketchup and fruit juice.
