Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Prep Time : 11-15 minutes

Cook time : 16-20 minutes

Ingredients for Chicken Fingers Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breasts cut into 1 1/2 inch wide pieces 2

  • Oil to deep fry

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns freshly crushed to taste

  • Mozzarella cheese 300 grams

  • Refined flour 1 cup

  • Sweet chilli sauce 1 tablespoon

  • Egg 1

  • Fresh breadcrumbs 1 cup

  • Micro greens to garnish


Step 1

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 2

Beat the chicken pieces with the back of a knife to flatten them. Sprinkle salt and crushed black peppercorns.

Step 3

Cut mozzarella cheese into 1 cm thick slices and further cut them into fingers.

Step 4

Keep one cheese finger on each chicken piece and roll.

Step 5

Take refined flour in a bowl, add salt, sweet chilli sauce and egg and mix well. Add a little water at a time and whisk to make a smooth and thick batter.

Step 6

Dip a chicken finger in the batter, slide into hot oil and deep-fry till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 7

If you want to coat the fingers with breadcrumbs, spread the breadcrumbs on a plate. Add a little water to the batter to make it a little thin. Dip the chicken fingers in the batter, roll in breadcrumbs and slide into the hot oil and deep fry till golden.

Step 8

You can prepare these in advance and keep them in the refrigerator till it is time to deep-fry.

Step 9

Take the fingers out of the refrigerator, gently slide into hot oil and deep-fry till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 10

Halve them diagonally and arrange on a serving plate, garnish with micro greens and serve hot.
