Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Prep Time : 16-20 minutes

Cook time : 26-30 minutes

Ingredients for Chicken Picatta Recipe

  • Chicken 2

  • Breadcrumbs to taste

  • lemon juice 2 teaspoons

  • fresh parsley finely chopped 2 teaspoon for garnishing

  • fresh thyme chopped 1 teaspoon

  • egg 1

  • breadcrumbs 1 cup

  • Oil for deep-frying

  • mayonnaise 4 tablespoons

  • tomato ketchup 2 tablespoons

  • paprika powder 1 teaspoon


Step 1

Slice chicken breasts into bite size pieces and put in a bowl.

Step 2

Add salt, lemon juice, 1 tsp chopped parsley and thyme. Rub the pieces well and set aside to marinate.

Step 3

Break egg in a bowl and beat well. Add this to the marinated chicken and mix well.

Step 4

Spread breadcrumbs on a plate. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 5

Coat marinated chicken pieces evenly in breadcrumbs and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 6

To make dip, combine mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, paprika powder and mix well. Add 1 tsp chopped parsley and mix well.

Step 7

Garnish crispy chicken pieces with little chopped parsley and serve hot with prepared dip.
