Ingredients list for Chickpeas Spinach Vada
- 2 1/2 cups Chickpeas cooked
- 1 medium Spinach Leaves chopped
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder roasted
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 4-5 Garlic cloves
- 4-5 Jalapeno
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Gram flour
Method
- Put chickpeas, cumin powder, red chilli powder, garlic cloves, jalapenos and salt in a blender and blend coarsely. Transfer the mixture into a bowl.
- Add chopped spinach and mix well. Add gram flour and mix well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Divide chickpeas-spinach mixture into eight equal portions and shape them into flat vadas.
- Gently slide them into hot oil and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot.
