Chickpeas Spinach Vada The mixture of chickpeas and spinach make unusual vada. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Chickpeas, Spinach Leaves Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 5-6 hour Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Chickpeas Spinach Vada 2 1/2 cups Chickpeas cooked 1 medium Spinach Leaves chopped 1 teaspoon Cumin powder roasted 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 4-5 Garlic cloves 4-5 Jalapeno to taste Salt 1 tablespoon Gram flour Method Advertisment Put chickpeas, cumin powder, red chilli powder, garlic cloves, jalapenos and salt in a blender and blend coarsely. Transfer the mixture into a bowl. Add chopped spinach and mix well. Add gram flour and mix well. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Divide chickpeas-spinach mixture into eight equal portions and shape them into flat vadas. Gently slide them into hot oil and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot.
