Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chilli Wings Recipe

  • Chicken wings 8-12

  • Sriracha sauce (Mexican red chilli sauce) / red chilli sauce 3 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Ginger 1 inch

  • Garlic cloves 8-9

  • Fresh mint leaves 3-4

  • Olive oil 2 tablespoons

  • Brown sugar 1 tablespoon

  • Onion seeds (kalonji) 2 teaspoons


Step 1

Place chicken wings in a bowl, add salt, red chilli powder and lemon juice and mix well. Marinate in a refrigerator for 5-10 minutes.

Step 2

Grind together ginger, garlic, mint leaves, olive oil, sriracha sauce/red chilli sauce and brown sugar into a smooth mixture.

Step 3

Add ground mixture to the chicken wings and mix well. Marinate in the refrigerator for 8-10 hours.

Step 4

Preheat oven to 200º C.

Step 5

Add 1 tsp onion seeds to the marinated chicken and mix well. Place the wings on a baking tray, spread the leftover marinade on top and sprinkle remaining onion seeds on top.

Step 6

Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.

Step 7

Arrange on a serving plate and serve hot.
