Ingredients list for Choco Ragi Cake

  • 3/4 cup Dark chocolate roughly chopped
  • 1 cup Finger millet (ragi / nachni) flour
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons Whisky

Method

  1. Preheat oven at 180°C.
  2. Put chocolate and butterin a bowl and melt on a double boiler. Set it aside to cool completely.
  3. Break eggs into a bowl and whisk them till light and fluffy. Add castorsugar, little by little, and continue whisking till well combined.
  4. Pour chocolate mixture into the egg and sugar mixture and whisk well.
  5. Sift together ragi flour and baking powder into it and mix well.
  6. Add whisky and mix well. Transfer the mixture into a baking tin, level it out, place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for fifty-five minutes. Remove from oven, cool and remove from the tin.
  7. Cut into slices and serve.
