Ingredients list for Chocolate Orange Loaf
- 150 grams Dark chocolate melted
- ½ cup Orange juice
- 1¼ cups Refined flour (maida)
- 2 teaspoons Granulated sugar
- ¼ cup Cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 60 grams Butter
- 1 cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 2 Eggs
- ? cup Milk
- 3 teaspoons Orange rind
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C.
- Add granulated sugar to orange juice and mix till it melts. Set aside.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder and baking powder in a bowl.
- Cream together butter and castor sugar with a hand blender till light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and milk and beat well till smooth. Add flour mixture and fold well. Add chocolate and mix well. Add orange rind and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a silicon mould, place it in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside till just warm.
- Demould, pour the sweetened orange juice and let the loaf absorb the juice. Slice and serve.
