Ingredients for Christmas Creme Brulee Recipe

  • Cream 2½ cups

  • Eggs 4

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 75 grams + ½ cup

  • Vanilla essence 1 tablespoon


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Step 2

Separate the egg yolks from the whites and put the yolks in a bowl. Add 75 grams castor sugar in the bowl and whisk well. Add vanilla essence and whish again to mix.

Step 3

Warm cream in a non-stick pan. Add this to the egg mixture and mix well.

Step 4

Pour the mixture into ramekin moulds and place them on a baking tray filled with water. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Step 5

Remove from heat and set aside to cool to room temperature.

Step 6

Use ½ cup castor sugar to sprinkle evenly on the brulee and caramelize the sugar with the help of a blow torch till the crust becomes golden.

Step 7

Serve immediately.
