Ingredients for Coffee Cupcakes with Coffee Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

  • Cupcakes

  • Coffee decoction 1/4 cup

  • Refined flour 1 1/2 cups

  • Butter 1/2 cup

  • Granulated sugar 2/3 cup

  • Eggs 2

  • Vanilla essence 2 teaspoons

  • Salt 1/4 teaspoon

  • Baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Milk 2 tablespoons

  • Frosting

  • Butter 1/2 cup

  • Icing sugar 2 cups

  • Vanilla essence 1/2 teaspoon

  • Coffee decoction 1 tablespoon

  • Cream cheese 1 cup


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180° C.

Step 2

Take butter in a bowl, add sugar and beat with a hand blender till light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Add vanilla essence and beat again.

Step 3

Add flour, salt, baking powder and coffee decoction and fold in till well combined into a lump free batter. Add milk and mix well. Transfer the batter in a piping bag.

Step 4

Pipe out the batter into cupcake moulds filling them till ¾ full. Keep the moulds into the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Bring the mould out of the oven and set aside to cool slightly before demoulding. Set aside to cool completely.

Step 5

For the frosting, take butter in a bowl, add icing sugar, vanilla essence and coffee decoction and beat with an hand blender till light and fluffy. Add cream cheese and beat till well combined. Fill the frosting in a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.

Step 6

Pipe out the frosting on the cupcakes and serve.
