Coleslaw With Cottage Cheese

Ingredients 

  • 1 small cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 medium carrots, grated
  • 100 grams paneer (cottage cheese), crumbled
  • 1/2 cup yogurt, drained
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon caraway seeds (shahi jeera)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 medium onion, grated

Method

  1. Crumble the paneer and place in a blender with the drained yogurt, salt, mustard powder, white pepper powder, sugar and caraway seeds.
  2. Process till smooth. Add the milk and process again. Place the shredded cabbage in a bowl. Add the salt, lemon juice and grated carrots and mix well.
  3. Squeeze out the water from the grated onion and add to the salad bowl. Add the dressing and toss to mix. Serve at once.
