Ingredients list for Corn Waffles
- 1 1/4 cup Refined flour (maida)
- 3/4 cup Cornmeal
- 1/2 cup Fresh corn kernels
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- to taste Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 Egg
- for greasing Oil
- for garnish Butter
Method
- Preheat the waffle iron.
- In a mixing bowl, mix cornmeal, refined flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and corn kernels.
- Add egg and mix well.
- Add sufficient milk to make a semi-thick batter. Avoid adding all the milk together.
- Grease the waffle iron with oil, pour the batter, cover and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Once cooked, remove onto a serving plate, top up with a dollop of butter and serve immediately.
