Ingredients for Crab And Chilli Crisps Recipe

  • Crab meat boiled and shredded 250 grams

  • Fresh red chillies 2 small

  • Extra virgin olive oil 1 tablespoon

  • White bread slices crust trimmed 8

  • Onion 1/2 medium

  • Eggless mayonnaise 2 tablespoons

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Chilli garlic sauce as required

  • Fresh parsley a few sprigs

Method

Step 1

Heat 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil in a non stick pan. Cut 2 roundels from each bread slice with a round cookie cutter. The remaining bread can be ground in a mixer to make crumbs to be used as and when required.

Step 2

Saute the bread roundels in the non stick pan, turning sides, till golden on both sides.Finely chop fresh red chillies and put into a bowl. Finely chop onion and add to the chillies.

Step 3

Add eggless mayonnaise and crab meat and mix well. Add lemon juice and mix well. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for a little while. Arrange the bread roundels on a serving plate. Drizzle a few drops of chilli garlic sauce over each roundel.

Step 4

Make small quenelles of the crab meal mixture with two teaspoons and place over each roundel. Put a few drops of chilli garlic sauce on top of the crab mixture and keep a small sprig of parsley over it and serve immediately.
