Ingredients
- 500 grams yogurt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon roasted onion seed powder
- 3/4 teaspoon ginger paste
- A pinch asafoetida
- 2 tablespoons mustard oil
Method
- Tie up the yogurt in muslin cloth and hang it, preferably in the refrigerator, till all the water drains away. Grind mustard seeds with a little water and salt. Rest it for two hours. Take hung yogurt in a bowl, add mustard paste, roasted cumin seed powder, roasted onion seed powder, ginger paste, asafoetida and mix well. Add mustard oil and mix again. Serve preferably after twelve hours.
