Ingredients for Dainty Chocolate Cakes Recipe

  • Refined flour (maida) 1/2 cup

  • Cocoa powder 2 tablespoons

  • Baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Butter softened 1/2 cup

  • Powdered sugar 1/2 cup

  • Eggs 2

  • Milk 1/4 cup

  • Vanilla essence a few drops

  • Icing sugar 1 cup

  • Cocoa powder 2 teaspoons

  • Butter melted 1 teaspoon


Step 1

Preheat the oven at 200°C Sieve the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder together into a bowl.

Step 2

Cream the butter and sugar together till light and fluffy. Add eggs one by one and mix thoroughly.

Step 3

Fold into the flour mixture and add milk to geta dropping consistency. Add vanilla essence and mix well.

Step 4

Bake in the preheated oven for twenty minutes Meanwhile to prepare the chocolate glace icing sieve the icing sugar and cocoa powder together into a clean bowl.

Step 5

Add two tablespoons of hot water and butter and beat well. Glace the cupcake with chocolate icing and serve.
