Ingredients list for Date And Walnut Hot Cake

  • 400 grams Seedless Dates
  • 175 grams Refined Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 250 grams Butter
  • 2 cups Refined flour (maida)
  • 6 Eggs
  • 250 millilitres Water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Soda bicarbonate

Method

  1. Chop the dates and walnuts fine. Mix sugar, butter, and chopped dates with lukewarm water and mix well. Beat the eggs slightly. Sieve flour and soda together and mix chopped walnuts into it.
  2. Mix the flour and date mixture together and blend well. Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Put this mixture in a greased cake mould and bake in a preheated oven at 225°F for 30-40 minutes. Remove and sprinkle icing sugar on top. Slice and serve warm.
