Make a well in the center of the mixture, add yeast water, sugar and milk. Break egg and add and mix well. Add butter and mix well. Knead this mixture into a soft dough. Cover the bowl with a muslin cloth and set aside for 1- 1½ hours. Knock back the dough, dust with refined flour and refrigerate for 4-5 hours. Knock back the dough again. Roll out the dough to about one inch thickness. Stamp out one and a half inch rounds with a doughnut cutter. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry the doughnuts on medium heat till golden brown. Take powdered sugar in a bowl and coat the fried doughnuts in it. Transfer the doughnuts on a serving plate and serve immediately.
