Set jelly according to instructions. Cut into cubes. Take a deep glass bowl and spread a layer of cake cubes. Sprinkle generously with pineapple syrup. Pour over vanilla custard. Spread pineapple chunks generously. Chill thoroughly. To serve, place a portion of the cake and custard in individual bowls. Top high with jelly cubes. Serve immediately.
