Ingredients
- 1¼ cups whole wheat flour
 - ½ cup butter
 - ¼ cup + tablespoon castor sugar
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
 - ¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder
 - ¾ teaspoon cinnamon powder
 - 1½ tablespoons milk
 
Method
- Take butter in a bowl and beat it with an electric beater till smooth. Add ¼ cup castor sugar and whisk till light. Add vanilla essence and whisk.
 - Sift together wheat flour, nutmeg powder and ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder into the bowl and mix well. Add milk and mix to make a dough. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
 - Mix together remaining castor sugar and remaining cinnamon powder on a plate.
 - Preheat oven to 180° C.
 - Roll out the dough into ½ cm thick sheet and cut into roundels with a medium sized round cookie cutter.
 - Place the cookies on a baking tray and sprinkle some cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
 - Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove the tray from oven and cool.
 - Stack the cookies on a serving plate and serve.
