Ingredients list for Eggless Wheat Cinnamon Cookies

  • 1 1/4 cups Whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup + tablespoon Castor sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Milk

Method

  1. Take butter in a bowl and beat it with an electric beater till smooth. Add ¼ cup castor sugar and whisk till light. Add vanilla essence and whisk.
  2. Sift together wheat flour, nutmeg powder and ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder into the bowl and mix well. Add milk and mix to make a dough. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  3. Mix together remaining castor sugar and remaining cinnamon powder on a plate.
  4. Preheat oven to 180° C.
  5. Roll out the dough into ½ cm thick sheet and cut into roundels with a medium sized round cookie cutter.
  6. Place the cookies on a baking tray and sprinkle some cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  7. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove the tray from oven and cool.
  8. Stack the cookies on a serving plate and serve.
