Ingredients for Eggless Wheat Cinnamon Cookies Recipe

  • Whole wheat flour 1 1/4 cups

  • Butter 1/2 cup

  • Castor sugar 1/4 cup + tablespoon

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

  • Nutmeg powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Cinnamon powder 3/4 teaspoon

  • Milk 1 1/2 tablespoons


Step 1

Take butter in a bowl and beat it with an electric beater till smooth. Add ¼ cup castor sugar and whisk till light. Add vanilla essence and whisk.

Step 2

Sift together wheat flour, nutmeg powder and ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder into the bowl and mix well. Add milk and mix to make a dough. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Step 3

Mix together remaining castor sugar and remaining cinnamon powder on a plate.

Step 4

Preheat oven to 180° C.

Step 5

Roll out the dough into ½ cm thick sheet and cut into roundels with a medium sized round cookie cutter.

Step 6

Place the cookies on a baking tray and sprinkle some cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.

Step 7

Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove the tray from oven and cool.

Step 8

Stack the cookies on a serving plate and serve.
