Ingredients for Fried Idli With Sichuan Sauce Recipe

  • Idlis cut into fingers 10-12

  • Oil 2 tbsps + deep fry

  • Garlic chopped 6

  • Spring onion chopped 4

  • Sichuan sauce 2 tablespoons

  • Tomato ketchup 2 tablespoons

  • Spring onion sliced 3 sprigs

Method

Step 1

Heat the oil in a kadai and deep fry the idli fingers till golden and crisp.

Step 2

Drain on absorbent paper. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a kadai; add the garlic and sauté for half a minute. Add the spring onions and continue to sauté for another minute.

Step 3

Add the Sichuan sauce and tomato ketchup and stir to mix. Add the fried idlis and sauté over medium heat for one minute, tossing and stirring continuously.

Step 4

Add the spring onion greens and toss again to mix well. Serve hot
