Ingredients list for Fried Idli With Sichuan Sauce

  • 10-12 Idlis cut into fingers
  • 2 tbsps + deep fry Oil
  • 6 Garlic chopped
  • 4 Spring onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Sichuan sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato ketchup
  • 3 sprigs Spring onion sliced

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a kadai and deep fry the idli fingers till golden and crisp.
  2. Drain on absorbent paper. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a kadai; add the garlic and sauté for half a minute. Add the spring onions and continue to sauté for another minute.
  3. Add the Sichuan sauce and tomato ketchup and stir to mix. Add the fried idlis and sauté over medium heat for one minute, tossing and stirring continuously.
  4. Add the spring onion greens and toss again to mix well. Serve hot
