Ingredients for Gajar Halwa Baked Alaska Recipe

  • Gajar halwa readymade 400 grams

  • Egg whites 2

  • Mixed nuts chopped 4 tablespoons

  • Cream of tartar a pinch

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Spread a layer of gajar halwa in small earthenware pots. Top with 1 tablespoon chopped nuts and spread some more gajar halwa on top.

Step 2

Take egg whites in a bowl. Add cream of tartar and beat well.

Step 3

Add castor sugar and continue beating till stiff peaks are achieved.

Step 4

Fill a piping bag, fitted with a star nozzle, with the beaten egg whites and pipe over gajar halwa in each pot. Brulee the egg whites with a blow torch.

Step 5

Serve immediately.
