Ingredients list for Gajar Halwa Baked Alaska
- 400 grams Gajar halwa readymade
- 2 Egg whites
- 4 tablespoons Mixed nuts chopped
- a pinch Cream of tartar
- 2 tablespoons Castor sugar (caster sugar)
Method
- Spread a layer of gajar halwa in small earthenware pots. Top with 1 tablespoon chopped nuts and spread some more gajar halwa on top.
- Take egg whites in a bowl. Add cream of tartar and beat well.
- Add castor sugar and continue beating till stiff peaks are achieved.
- Fill a piping bag, fitted with a star nozzle, with the beaten egg whites and pipe over gajar halwa in each pot. Brulee the egg whites with a blow torch.
- Serve immediately.
