Ingredients 

  • 10-15 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup sundried tomatoes soaked overnight and drained
  • 1 cup chickpeas (kabuli chana) boiled
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tahini paste
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • for garnishing parsley sprig

Method

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a non-stick pan.
  2. Crush garlic cloves and add alongwith sundried tomatoes and sauté for 2-3 minutes, tossing once a while.
  3. Place chickpeas in a blender jar. Add tahini paste, cumin powder, salt, sautéed garlic and sundried tomatoes and remaining olive oil and blend into a smooth paste.
  4. Add lemon juice and blend once again.
  5. Garnish with parsley sprig and serve with your choice of bread.
