Ingredients list for Ice Cream Sandwich

  • 500 grams Chocolate Sponge Cake 2
  • 1 litre Vanilla Ice Cream
  • as required Malted chocolate powder
  • as required Chocolate sauce

Method

  1. Halve the cakes horizontally. Place one slice at the base of a spring form tin. Cut another slice and use the pieces to fill up the empty space around the first slice.
  2. Spread chocolate sauce evenly over them followed by a thick layer of vanilla ice cream.
  3. Sprinkle malted chocolate evenly and drizzle some chocolate sauce. Cover these layers with the remaining cake slices.
  4. Whisk the remaining ice cream to soften and spread on top. Sprinkle some malted chocolate over the ice cream.
  5. Keep the tin in the refrigerator to set. When completely set, remove from the spring form tin, cut into wedges and serve immediately.
