Ingredients list for Italian Biscotti

  • 4 cups Refined Flour sieved
  • 2 cups Eggs
  • 4 Eggs lightly beaten
  • 2 cups Walnut kernels crushed coarsely
  • 1 Candied orange peel finely chopped
  • 1 Candied lemon peel finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 º C. Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well.
  2. Roll part of dough into a long roll about one and half inches in diameter.
  3. Repeat till dough is used up.
  4. Place rolls on baking tray and bake at 180º C for fifteen minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and slice crosswise into three-fourth inch thick biscuits.
  6. Place on baking tray and bake for additional fifteen minutes.
