And not just biryanis, curries, bakes and all other preparations with this wonderful meat are always special. Did you know, unlike other dishes, a day-old mutton prep will always be all the more tastier on the palate! Try it the next time you plan on to take on this meat.

Ingredients for Jeera Boti Kebab in Tacos Recipe

  • Boneless mutton cut into 1 inch pieces 250 grams

  • Cumin powder roasted 1 teaspoon

  • Taco shells 8

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Onion sliced 1 medium

  • Ginger-garlic paste 2 tablespoons

  • Red chilli powder 1½ teaspoons

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Onion sliced as required

  • Lemon wedges for garnishing

  • Sour cream for drizzling


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté till golden. Add mutton pieces, mix and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 2

Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and cook for 1 minute. Add chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, crushed peppercorns and salt, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 3

Add lemon juice, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes or till mutton pieces are fully done.

Step 4

Place taco shells on a serving platter and put some cooked mutton mixture into each shell. Put some sliced onions and drizzle some sour cream on top.

Step 5

Serve immediately garnished with lemon wedges.
