By Sanjeev Kapoor 28 Oct 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Sorghum (jowar) flour, Salt Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Breads Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Jowar Bhakri - SK Khazana 1 cup Sorghum (jowar) flour 1/4 teaspoon Salt 1/2 teaspoon Oil for dusting Whole wheat flour to serve Onion wedges to serve Lemon wedges Method Take sorghum flour in a parat, add salt, oil and sufficient water and knead into a soft dough. Cover with a muslin cloth and set aside for sometime. Divide the dough into equal balls. Dust whole wheat flour on worktop, keep each dough ball on it and pat with your palm and fingers into a round bhakri. Heat a non-stick tawa and place the bhakri on it, sprinkle some water, spread around with fingers. Cook for 2 minutes and flip. Cook for a minute, lift it with tongs and place on direct flame till it puffs up. Transfer onto a serving plate. Make more bhakri similarly.
