Ingredients for Kheer Crispies Recipe

  • Chilled thick leftover rice kheer 1 cup

  • Vanilla cake , 8 inch 1/2 1 inch stick

  • Roasted almond powder 2 tablespoons

  • Oil 2 tablespo to deep fry

  • Powdered sugar 1 cup

  • Cinnamon powder 1/2 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Break the cake into small pieces and put into a mixer jar and process to make crumbs.

Step 2

Take kheer in a bowl, add the cake crumbs and mix. Add almond powder and mix. Add 2 tbsps oil and knead lightly. Keep the mixture in a refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 4

Divide the dough into equal portions and pat each portion into a slightly thick pattie. Further cut them into diamond shaped pieces, slide into hot oil and deep fry till golden. You can also shape the dough into small rounds and deep fry till golden.

Step 5

Mix powdered sugar and cinnamon powder and spread on a plate. Drain the kheer crispies and roll in the sugar-cinnamon powder mixture.

Step 6

Arrange them on serving plates and serve hot.
