Kindergarten Pasta

A colorful medley of mixed pastas tossed in a sweet carrot-tomato sauce, lightly spiced and optionally topped with cheese. This recipe has featured on the show Khanakhazana.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons mixed Pasta
  • 2 tablespoons tomato Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons pasta coloured any shape
  • 2 tablespoons pasta alphabets
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tablespoons carrot puree
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese optional 

Method

  1. Boil water in a pan with salt and oil. Add all the pastas except the alphabet pasta for they are small. Once the water starts boiling again add the alphabet pastas.
  2. Cook till al dente. Drain and keep aside. In another pan heat oil. Add carrot puree and sauté. Add tomato ketchup, salt and white pepper powder and mix.
  3. Add the pasta and mix. Serve hot in a fancy plate. If desired, sprinkle grated cheese on top just before serving.
