Ingredients list for Lacchedar Barfi
- 250 grams Khoya
- 125 grams Powdered Sugar
- 250 grams Petha (sweet)
- a few drops Edible green colour
- a few drops Kewra essence
- 2 sheet Silver warq
Method
- Knead khoya till smooth. Mix in sugar and knead again. Grease a tray. Cut the petha in long fine shreds. Place on heat if there is any syrup so as to dry it completely.
- Mix khoya and dry petha and place on medium heat. Cook, stirring continuously, till the mixture forms a mass. Add green colour and kewra essence and mix well.
- Remove from heat while the mixture is still quite wet. Pour barfi onto the greased tray and level the surface. Cool completely and garnish with silver warq.
- Cut into desired shapes and serve.
