Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into balls. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Break egg in another bowl. Add salt and whisk well. Spread breadcrumbs onto a plate. Dip balls in egg, coat in breadcrumbs and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
