This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 18 Aug 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Potatoes, Extra virgin olive oil Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Masala Mashed Potatoes 1 cup Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed 1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil 1 teaspoon Butter 1 medium Onion 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds 20-25 Curry leaves 1 Green chilli chopped to taste Salt 5-6 Curry leaves deep fried 1 Dried red chilli deep fried Method Heat extra virgin olive oil in a non stick pan. Add butter and let it melt. Chop onion. Add asafoetida and mustard seeds to the pan and let the seeds splutter. Add cumin seeds, curry leaves and onion and saute for 1 minute. Add mashed potatoes and switch off the heat. Add green chilli, salt and mix well. Grease a stainless steel ring lightly and place it in the centre of the serving plate. Put the potato mixture into the ring but do not press it or level the surface. Garnish with fried curry leaves, fried red chilli, slowly remove the ring and serve.
