Ingredients for Masala Oats Scones Recipe

  • Oats 40 grams

  • Refined flour 1¾ cups

  • butter ¼ cup

  • salt ½ teaspoon

  • crushed black peppercorns 1 teaspoons

  • sugar 2 tablespoons

  • egg 1

  • milk 1½ cups

  • Fresh parsley chopped 2 teaspoon for garnishing

  • double cream 4 tablespoons

  • Juice of ¼ lemon

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven at 180°C. Place a silicon sheet on a baking tray.

Step 2

Take butter in a bowl and smoothen it. Add salt, ¼ tsp crushed peppercorns and sugar. Mix well and add egg and beat well with an electric beater.

Step 3

Add refined flour and mix well. Add milk, Saffola Pepper and Spice Oats, 1 tsp chopped parsley and knead well into a soft dough.

Step 4

Dust worktop with little flour. Place dough on it and spread into a 2 inch thick disc. Using a small cookie cutter, cut out 8 small discs from it. These are scones.

Step 5

Place the scones on the baking tray and put in the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

Step 6

Whisk double cream in a bowl. Add lemon juice, remaining crushed peppercorns and 1 tsp chopped parsley and mix well.

Step 7

Remove scones from oven and place on a serving plate. Garnish with the cream mixture and chopped parsley and serve.
