Ingredients list for Orangtini

  • 12 teaspoons Orange squash
  • 2 teaspoons Cumin seeds
  • 4 Lemons
  • 4 teaspoons Castor sugar
  • to taste Black salt
  • 40-48 Fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • as required Ice cubes
  • 2 cups Drinking soda
  • 4 for garnishing Orange slices

Method

  1. For each portion, dry roast ½ tsp cumin seeds in a non-stick pan till fragrant. Set aside to cool.
  2. Halve 1 lemon, and quarter each half, remove seeds and put all the pieces in a glass jar. Add 1 tsp castor sugar and black salt. Roughly tear 10-12 mint leaves and add.
  3. Crush roasted cumin seeds in a mortar with a pestle. Add roasted cumin powder and muddle everything together with a muddler.
  4. Add ½ tbsp lemon juice and 3 tsps orange squash and continue to muddle.
  5. Take a few ice cubes in a stemmed glass and pour the prepared juice over them. Top with ½ cup soda and mix well. Garnish with orange slice and serve chilled.
