Ingredients list for Paneer Bhurji Samosa

  • 1 cup Paneer (cottage cheese) grated
  • Samosa dough made with 1 cup refined flour (maida)
  • 130 grams Bhuna masala
  • 1 tablespoon Raisins
  • ¼ cup Cashewnuts chopped
  • 2-3 Green chillies chopped
  • to brush Oil

Method

  1. Put cottage cheese in a bowl, add bhuna masala, raisins, cashew nuts, green chillies and mix well.
  2. Divide dough into small equal balls. Apply a little oil to the dough balls and roll out into thin ovals.
  3. Cut each oval into half horizontally. Place one half over the fingers of your left hand with the straight edge resting over your forefinger and dampen the edges with water.
  4. Fold over one end of the straight edge and bring it to the middle of the rounded edge. Now fold over the other end and bring it over to the middle of the rounded edge to rest over the first end to make a seam.
  5. Press gently to seal the seam. Open out the cone and make a small pleat directly opposite the seam and press gently.
  6. Stuff the cone with the cottage cheese mixture. Bring together the seam and the pleat on the rounded edge and gently press the entire open end of the cone to make samosa.
  7. Brush the basket of an air fryer with a little oil, place the samosas on it. Brush the samosas with a little oil and fit the basket to the fryer and cook at 160° C for 10-12 minutes or till the samosas turn golden and crisp.
  8. Serve hot.
