Paneer and Cheese Cigars Paneer and cheese wrapped in spring roll sheet and deep fried This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 Jun 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Cottage cheese (paneer), Processed cheese Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Paneer and Cheese Cigars 4 tablespoons Cottage cheese (paneer) , grated 4 tablespoons Processed cheese , grated 4 Spring roll sheets to deep fry Oil 2-3 Green chillies , finely chopped 1/2 teaspoon Crushed red chillies to taste Salt 3-4 sprigs Fresh curly parsley 1/2 cup Refined flour (maida) to garnish Red capsicum curls Method Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Put cottage cheese in a bowl, add processed cheese, green chillies, crushed red chillies and salt. Finely chop, parsley and add. Add cornflour and mix well with your hands, pressing as you mix. Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into long croquettes. Mix refined flour with sufficient water to make a thick paste. Apply this on the spring roll sheets with a brush. Place a cheese croquette at one end of each sheet, roll tightly into a long cylinder and seal the open edge ensuring that you leave about ½ inch empty space at the two ends. Slide these cigars into hot oil and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Halve each cigar, arrange on a serving platter, garnish with red capsicum curls and serve hot.
