Ingredients list for Pea Pulao
- 1 cup Basmati Rice
- 1 cup Green Peas shelled
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 medium Onion
- 3 tablespoons Oil
- to taste Salt
Method
- Pick, wash and soak rice for twenty minutes. Drain. Peel and slice the onion. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and once it starts to crackle add onions.
- Fry till translucent. Add peas, sauté for two-three minutes. Add the rice. Pour two cups of water and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover with lid, cook till all water is absorbed. Serve hot.
