Ingredients list for Pethe Ki Barfi

  • 250 grams Petha
  • 250 grams Khoya
  • 125 grams Sugar
  • 6-7 strands Saffron (kesar)
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 1/4 tablespoon Green cardamom powder
  • 1 tablespoon Pure ghee
  • 1-2 sheet Silver warq

Method

  1. Grate the petha thickly. Cook on low heat till all the syrup dries up. Grease a thali. Knead the khoya till smooth.
  2. Add sugar and the petha and cook on medium heat, stirring continuously till the mixture forms a mass. Add saffron dissolved in warm milk and green cardamom powder and mix well.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased tray and smoothen the surface. Cut into diamonds when cold. Decorate with silver warq and serve.
