Ingredients list for Pumpkin Halwa

  • 800 grams Red Pumpkin peeled and grated
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 100 grams Sugar
  • 70 grams Khoya/mawa grated
  • 10-12 Cashewnuts
  • 10 Raisins
  • 8-10 Raisins
  • 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. Heat the ghee in a non-stick kadai. Add the pumpkin and sauté on low heat till soft. Add the sugar, mix well and cook till the sugar melts and the moisture evaporates.
  2. Add the khoya, cashewnuts, raisins and pistachios and mix well. Cook for five minutes, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and sprinkle green cardamom powder. Serve hot.
