Ingredients list for Quick Chocolate Biscuit Cake

  • 2 tablespoons Drinking chocolate
  • 225 grams Digestive biscuits
  • 100 grams Butter
  • 50 grams Castor sugar (caster sugar)
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 1 tablespoons Cocoa powder
  • 50 grams Cake crumbs
  • 50 grams Glazed cherries
  • 50 grams Raisins
  • For the icing
  • 100 grams Plain chocolate
  • 15 grams Butter

Method

  1. Heat butter, sugar, honey and milk in a pan on low heat. Add the drinking chocolate, cocoa and half the biscuits and mix well. Add the remaining ingredients and stir. Place into a sandwich tin/round dish and chill in the refrigerator till it sets.
  2. Remove from the tin and keep aside. For icing melt the chocolate and butter in a small bowl over a pan of hot water. Spread over the cooled biscuit mixture and allow to set and cut into wedges.
