Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Rajama Til Toasts Recipe

  • Kidney beans soaked and boiled 1 cup

  • Bread slices toasted 4 slices

  • Sesame seeds (til) 3-4 tablespoons

  • Oil 1 teaspoon

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon

  • Black salt (kala namak) 1/4 teaspoon

  • Amchur powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Cola 1/2 cup

  • Mozzarella cheese for garnish


Step 1

Heat oil in a non stick pan.

Step 2

Dry roast sesame seeds in another non stick pan. Add ginger-garlic paste to the hot oil and sauté till fragrant. Add rajma and mix.

Step 3

Add red chilli powder, black salt, dried mango powder, coriander powder and salt and mix.

Step 4

Cook till the mixture becomes dry. Turn off the heat and let it.

Step 5

Spread the rajma mixture on the toasted breads. Sprinkle roasted sesame over it. Cut each into two pieces, sprinkle cheese over it and serve.
