Ingredients for Rising Sun Recipe

  • Grapefruit juice 2 cups

  • Ice cubes as required

  • Black salt 1 teaspoon

  • Chaat masala 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh mint leaves as required

  • Sugar syrup 2 cups

  • Green apples 2

  • Grapefruit slices to garnish

  • Drinking soda as required

Method

Step 1

Put a few ice cubes in a shaker, add grapefruit juice, black salt, chaat masala and a few fresh mint leaves and sugar syrup and shake well.

Step 2

Thinly slice green apple into roundels and then quarter each roundel.

Step 3

To serve each portion, put a few ice cubes in a serving glass, add a few green apple slices, a few mint leaves and pour the grapefruit into each glass till half filled.

Step 4

Garnish the rim of each glass with a halved roundel of grapefruit and top up the drink with drinking soda and serve immediately.
