Ingredients for Rose And Orange Marmalade Cake Recipe

  • Rooh Afza 6-7 tablespoons

  • Orange marmalade 4 tablespoons

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 cups

  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon

  • Butter 2 cups

  • Sugar 2 cups

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

  • Eggs 5

  • Tutti frutti 4 tablespoons

  • Icing sugar for dusting

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a cake tin.Sieve together maida and baking powder and keep aside in a bowl.

Step 2

In another bowl, whisk together butter and sugar. Add vanilla essence, orange marmalade, 4 tbsps Rooh afza and mix lightly. Add eggs, one at a time, and whisk well.

Step 3

Add tutti fruity to maida. Add the egg mixture and mix well using cut and fold method.Pour the batter into the greased cake tin and spread evenly with a spatula.

Step 4

Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.Remove the cake from the oven and set aside to cool.

Step 5

Make small holes in it with a satay stick. Pour the remaining Rooh afza over.Demould the cake, place on a serving plate and sprinkle some icing sugar on it. Cut and serve.
