By Sanjeev Kapoor 18 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Sourdough bread loaf, Olive oil Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Sour Dough Open Sandwich 1 Sourdough bread loaf for brushi for greasing Olive oil 5-6 Fresh basil leaves 4-6 Bocconcini (fresh mozzarella) 4-6 Red cherry tomatoes 4-6 Yellow cherry tomatoes to taste Salt to taste Black peppercorns crushed Method Cut the sourdough bread into slices. Brush with olive oil. Rough chop basil leaves. Halve bocconcini. Preheat oven to 180º C. Grease a baking tray with some oil. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil on a non-stick grill pan, place the bread sliced in it and toast, turning sides till grill marks appear on both sides. Place the grilled bread slices on the greased tray, top with 2-3 red cherry tomato halves, 2-3 yellow cherry tomato halves and 2-3 bocconcini halves, sprinkle some chopped basil, salt and crushed black peppercorns. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 5-10 minutes.
