Ingredients list for Soya Kheema Matar
- 1 cup Soya granuals
- 1 cup Green peas shelled
- 1 1/2 cups Skimmed milk
- 2 medium Onions finely chopped
- 8 cloves Garlic finely chopped
- 1 inch piece Ginger grated
- 2 Green chillies chopped
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 3/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 4 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
Method
- Soak the soya granules in milk for an hour. Heat a non-stick pan and add chopped onions. Roast till lightly browned. Add garlic and roast for a minute.
- Add grated ginger, green chillies, coriander powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder and two tablespoons of water. Stir and cook for two minutes.
- Add green peas and one-fourth cup of water and mix well. Cover and cook till peas are nearly done. Add soya granules along with the milk and cook till almost dry.
- Add chopped coriander leaves, salt, garam masala powder and lemon juice and mix well. Serve hot.
