This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 05 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Carrots, Red chilli Cuisine American Course Soups Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Spiced Carrot Soup Shots 2-3 medium Carrots peeled & finely chopped 1 Red chilli chopped 4-5 Black peppercorns 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil 1 medium Onion sliced 1 teaspoon Garlic chopped 1 small Potato peeled & finely chopped to taste Salt a few sprigs Fresh coriander leaves Method Advertisment Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a deep non stick pan, add onion and garlic and saute for 1 minute. Add black peppercorns, potato and carrot and saute for another minute. Add salt and mix. Add fresh red chilli and mix. Add 2 cups water and mix. Heat remaining olive oil in a non stick pan. Finely chop a few sprigs of fresh coriander leaves. Cover the pan with carrots and cook till soft. Cool and transfer into a blender jar. Add coriander leaves to the other pan and switch off the heat. Blend the carrot mixture till smooth. Add a little water to adjust the consistency. Transfer the mixture into a jar and then pour into shot glasses.
