Spicy Ganthia

Ingredients list for Spicy Ganthia

  • 1 1/2 cups Gramflour
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Carom seeds
  • 1 tablespo to deep fry Oil

Method

  1. Take gram flour in a mixing bowl, add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, carom seeds and oil and mix well. Add sufficient water and knead into soft dough.
  2. Shape the dough into a cylinder and put into to a greased ganthia press.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai to deep-fry.
  4. Press out the ganthia directly into hot oil deep-fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Transfer onto a serving platter and serve when cooled down to room temperature. Or store them in an air-tight container when cooled.
