Ingredients
- 1½ cup gram flour
- Salt to taste
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon carom seeds
- 1 tablespoon oil + for deep-frying
Method
- Mix together, gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, carom seeds and oil. 
 Add water as required and knead a soft dough.
- Shape the dough in a cylinder and add it to a sev press.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai to deep-fry.
- Pipe out the sev in the heated oil with a sev press and fry till golden brown. 
 Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve once at room temperature.
