Sprouted Moong Khichdi A tasty and delicious khichdi prepared using sprouted moong dal. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 05 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Sprouted Green Gram, Rice Cuisine Indian Course Rice Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Sprouted Moong Khichdi 1 1/2 cups Sprouted Green Gram 1 1/2 cups Rice soaked 1 teaspoon Pure ghee 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1 inch stick Cinnamon 3-4 Green chillies slit 4-6 florets Cauliflower 1 medium Carrot julienne 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/2 tablespoon Black peppercorns crushed to taste Salt Method Advertisment Heat ghee in a non-stick pan and add cumin seeds, cinnamon and slit green chillies and let it crackle. Add cauliflower, carrots and turmeric powder and sauté. Add salt and crushed peppercorns. Drain the soaked rice and add to the vegetables. Sauté for a couple of minutes and add three cups of hot water. Once it comes to a boil, add the sprouted moong and mix, cover the pan with a lid and cook on a medium heat. When done, serve hot along with some ghee.
