Ingredients for Strawberry Kheer - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Strawberries washed 9-10

  • Sugar ½ cup + 2 tablespoons

  • Milk 5 cups

  • Rice soaked for 15-20 minutes and drained 1/4 cup

  • Green cardamom powder a pinch

  • Strawberries sliced for garnish

  • Pistachios slivers for garnish


Step 1

Hull the strawberries and roughly chop them.

Step 2

Heat a non-stick pan, add strawberries and 2 tbsps sugar, mix and cook till the strawberries are pulpy. Take the pan off the heat.

Step 3

Heat milk in a deep non-stick pan and let it come to a boil, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Add rice, mix well and cook till the rice is completely cooked.

Step 5

Add ½ cup sugar, mix well and cook on low heat, stirring continuously, for 4-5 minutes.

Step 6

Add green cardamom powder and mix well. Switch off the heat, add the strawberry compote and mix well.

Step 7

Transfer into individual serving bowl, garnish with strawberry slices and pistachio slivers and serve.
