Ingredients list for Sungatache Bhaje

  • 200 grams Shrimps
  • Gram Flour
  • 4-5 Green chillies
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1/4 cup Fresh coriander leaves
  • 3 tablespoons Gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to deep fry Oil
  • FOR SERVING
  • 1 Lemon

Method

  1. Clean, wash the shrimps and press dry on a cloth, so that excess moisture will be removed. De-stem the green chillies and chop them very fine.
  2. Peel the ginger and onion, chop very finely. Clean, wash and chop the coriander leaves.
  3. In a bowl, add the shrimps, besan, green chillies, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, onion and salt. Mix well.
  4. Now shape the mixture into equal sized flat balls (roundel). Heat oil and deep fry these balls till light golden brown and crispy. Serve hot with slice of lemon.
