Ingredients list for Sweet Potato Kheer With Sago

  • 1/2 kilogram Sweet potato
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 1/4 kilogram Jaggery (gur)
  • 4 cups Coconut scraped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • a pinch Salt

Method

  1. Peel, wash sweet potatoes and cut into thin slices.
    Cook them with sago in two cups of water, till sweet potatoes become soft.
    Add jaggery and mix.
  2. Grind scraped coconut with four cups of water and extract three cups of thick coconut milk.
    Add to sweet potatoes mixture.
  3. Continue to cook for five minutes.
    Add cardamom powder and salt.
    Stir and remove from heat.
    Serve warm.
